Length, Girth and A Cultural Obsession with Penis Size: about body shaming and the importance of being accepting.

There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to penis size. There’s a cultural obsession with penis size and its perceived meaning. There’s so much going on here, from toxic masculinity and body shaming which are accepted as normal. Penis size is one of those topics that makes everyone uncomfortable and we have to start having conversations about it. Our attitudes about penis size impact others, and we need to be more aware of that. But this isn't just about penis size, It's also about accepting that everyone has different shapes and sizes when it comes to bodies!

The penis

The penis size is a cultural obsession. It has been embedded into our subconscious since we were young. It can be seen everywhere: in culture, in porn, on social media and even in social encounters. Our norms have created this image of how a penis should look like and what people are supposed to pursue. The problem with this is that no one can reach for a certain ideal because the standards for what makes up an attractive penis vary from person to person and every dick is different.

There is a stigma around genitalia and sex in general. Subjects regarding genitalia are stigmatised in our society, and therefore people feel ashamed and alone with their genital self-image with no comfort or education on the subject. When it comes to genitalia, we're taught that we should be ashamed of them.

The subject is stigmatised in our society, and therefore people feel shame and are alone with their genital self-image, with no comfort or education on the subject. The stigma is so deeply ingrained that many people don't even realise they're affected by it. They may not even know they have a problem with self-image until they come across an article like this and acknowledge their feelings of anxiety being normal.

There is a lot of pressure to conform, however, and this can make people feel anxious about not being able to live up to those expectations. The growing awareness of these issues has led to more acceptance among some groups, but there are still many misconceptions about what normal exactly looks like and what size is acceptable. It's important to remember that there is no "normal" when it comes to genitals - everyone's genitals look different.

Bodypositivity to penispositivity

There is not only one type of normal penis

When we talk about “normal” penises, people often think of them as being neither too big nor too small but somewhere in the middle. This is a flawed idea for many reasons. For one thing, normality is not a fixed value. What is normal for one person may or may not be so for another, and whether something is considered normal depends on cultural factors: what’s often considered normal in Finland may not be so elsewhere.

Moreover, our bodies are all different and unique; there is no such thing as “one size fits all'' regarding human characteristics like height and weight that vary between individuals. So why do we continue to cling to this myth that penises must also conform to some imaginary standard?

One reason we feel comfortable having an open conversation about penis size is that we have learned more about these topics in recent years, and more people are talking about them online and in public than ever before.

As a culture, we've become much more aware of body shaming thanks to the internet. We know how damaging it can be. And while it's not an easy thing to talk about—particularly for men who don't want their masculinity questioned—it's important that we talk about it because so many men suffer from this shame and make themselves feel bad when they could just as easily accept themselves as they are.

So let's all learn what we can from our struggles with body issues and make sure we don't perpetuate any further stereotypes or stigma against those who may be different from us but still deserve respect just the same!

The next time you talk about penis size, don't forget to consider all the different factors that may play into what someone considers "normal" or "average." It's not just length! There are so many other things that come into play when discussing this topic, and we need to be able to talk about them with compassion and understanding.

If you feel like your penis is too small, too big, too curved, or too weird, it’s important to remember that many factors can affect how well you perform in bed. The size of your penis won't necessarily impact your sexual performance! So don’t worry too much about it because the most crucial factor is that you are confident and accepting of yourself. Penises need to be discussed more in society to break the barrier of being open and deconstruct the stigma built around genitals. We need a penis positivity movement.
